Beagle Beer

Beagle Beer is an Argentinean beer brewed in Ushuaia by Cervecería Fueguina, the pioneering brewery in Tierra del Fuego established in June, 2003. It is named after the famous ship HMS Beagle that passed through the area in 1831 during the voyage of the Beagle with Charles Darwin on board. There are three styles of Beagle Beer: Fuegian Ale (5,8% v/v), India Pale Ale (6,6% v/v) and Fuegian Stout (7,8% v/v). They are all made from high gravity worts, moderate addition of Patagonian hops, vigorous fermentation with ale yeasts, and natural in-bottle conditioning with cane sugar. This process yields some common features to all three styles: strong body, complex flavors and aromas, long lasting after-taste, and consistent head.
